Sharpest Images

If you intend to upload an image and have it printed at the same dimensions as the original (in inches), we recommend that you scan the original at a minimum of 300 dpi for the highest quality, sharpest looking print - even from as close as 12" away. Most scanner software will have a menu that allows you to change what dpi the scanned image will be, and image editing software - such as Adobe Photoshop - will have information on your image's dpi when you load it.

Enlarging Images

If you intend to *enlarge* your original but want to continue to have the sharpest image possible, increase the dpi according to how large you want to enlarge your file. For example, if you intend to double the dimensions of your image when printed (Example: enlarging from 8" x 10" to 16" x 20"), scan your original at 600 dpi, double our recommended minimum.

On the other hand, if you decide that the final print can be less sharp at close distances, upload the image of your choice and we'll do the rest. You'll only be limited by our maximum printable dimensions (32" by 40")!
