JEM Mt Timpanogos - Sunrise at Timpanooke Trailhead
Mt Timpanogos trail, just off the Alpine Loop Hwy, Utah: After starting at this trail head, it takes the average hiker approximately 5 hours to reach the Mt Timpanogos Summit (11,500 ft). This photo was taken at sunrise near the trail head, at about 7 a.m.--in late summer. From the trail head it takes approximately 4 hours to reach what is called the Great Basin, which holds the meadow where most of the flowers can be found.
