JEM Great Western Trail in the Wasatch Mountains

Great Western Trail, Canyon Glen to Mt. Baldy segment, from Provo Canyon, near Provo, Utah: This photo was taken in the Wasatch foothills, overlooking the Orem and Provo, Utah area. The Great Western trail, travels without break for approximately 10 miles in this area. These late summer clouds are starting to form a thunderhead, and with the sun setting in the west, scenic colors are wonderfully varied. Provo River is in the canyon between the photographer and the far hills overshadowed by clouds.
