JEM Strawberry Narrows from high above

DESCRIPTION: Strawberry Narrows, on the south end of Strawberry Reservoir, near Daniels Canyon, Utah: From this perch, high on a rock bluff above the narrows, we see the bright turquoise reflection of the sky in the water. The "narrows" is a creek canyon backed up with reservoir water from a dam on the south. Just out of sight to the north (the direction of this photo shot), lies the main body of the reservoir. Strawberry river flows through the reservoir, down through the narrows and on past the dam to the south. This photo is taken from a path that lies along the edge of the narrows which is only for non-motorized traffic. The land on this west side is also part of a reservation and a wild life protected area. The path through this area is 12 miles long and is a quiet trip for the hiker that truly wants to connect with nature.
