Oak Island Light Tower, N.C.
On May 15, 1958, a silo-type, coastal lighthouse was completed and activated in Caswell Beach on Oak Island. The concrete tower is 148 feet tall and sits 20 feet above mean sea level. Along with its approximately 12-foot high aluminum lantern room, the lighthouse has a commanding view over both the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean. It remains to be one of the strongest lights in the U.S. with up to 2,5000,000 candlepower. This print is available in both horizontal and vertical formats.
