DESCRIPTION: The Mill Canyon Trail near the Alpine Loop Trail, between American Fork and Provo Canyons in Utah: The trailhead for this scenic hike takes off from the Cascade Springs Highway that connects to the Alpine Highway. The beauty of this blazing, but sedated autumn scene occurs because the photographer is standing in the shade and shooting through the leaves towards the setting sun. Hence, the leaves show their somewhat transparent quality as they turn into mini lights and show off their colors more than usual.
