In the distance a black bear ambles across a beautiful mountain field at Hurricane Ridge, in the Olympic National Park, Washington State.
This impressive mountain vista can be found at the visitor’s center atop Hurricane Ridge, in the Olympic National Park. Beginning at Port Angeles along Puget Sound there is a breathtaking seventeen-mile drive which snakes up the side of the Olympic Mountains to a height of over 5,000 feet. As we hiked around this mountain landscape I told Patty someone could point their camera just about anywhere and come up with a gorgeous photo. Hurricane Ridge offers spectacular mountain views, wildflowers, deer, black bear, marmots, and other wildlife.
