If you don’t wait too long, you may find this picturesque old mill still standing, at the west end of Round Butte Rd. in Ronan, a small farming town in Northern Montana. And if you look close you may still be able to see the faded name “Lake Flour” which used to be brightly painted at the top right section of the building. This rustic motif is loaded with rich detail and a closer look will reveal many a forgotten lore. Believe it or not, the golden sepia tone hue is the authentic, local color of the subjects as they were photographed. Notice the accent of green grass in the lower left corner. Oh yes, did I mention that the sweet Miss Mule’s name is “Sunday?” Hence the title – ”Sunday at the Mill.”
