This bleak and abandoned farmhouse near Bonnie View, Texas also holds a sad story. It was once the home of a family who received the news that their son was killed while serving in the Vietnam War. Some years later, the photographer captured this sense of desolation by framing the bare tree over the open dwelling as a cold front rushed overhead and on toward the horizon.
