The air was perfectly still, sun casting a warm evening glow, as I sat by the water listening to the frogs and cicadas warming up for their evening orchestra. Their song stirred my imagination, changed time. In that moment, there were no cities, no traffic, no smog, no war, no... self. There was only the simple, tranquil beauty of that moment...
Taken: Sunset, McKinney Falls State Park, TX. To retain the overall feeling of stillness and the warm "glow of sunset" being cast on the "eyes" of the knotty cypress tree, I recommend printing this photograph on matte or lustre paper. Though frame choice will vary with room decor, I find an earthy wooden frame works especially well with this photograph.
