Bird Pictures
Bird pictures always make interesting and aesthetically pleasing decorations. Birds, with nine to ten thousand species living (and one hundred thirty extinct), prevail as the most diverse terrestrial vertebrate. These bipedal animals are warm blooded, yet lay eggs like reptiles. Birds are distinguished as being covered by feathers, having a bony toothless beak as a mouth, and having forelimbs modified as wings. Because they are small, birds have a high metabolic rate. Birds also have hollow, yet very strong, bones that make them lighter and facilitate flight.
