Billington, Robert - Billington, Robert – Since receiving my first Kodak Brownie camera as a small child I have been the official family photographer. Although most of my photographs have been of the “capturing family history” form I have always had the urge to produce “art” as well. In the late ‘70s and early ‘80s I built a darkroom and experimented with both black and white and color film developing, printing and alternative chemical and printing processes with the goal of producing artistic images. Time pressures from career and family prevented continuing that work and it is only now, with the maturing of digital technology, that I have had the opportunity to again do photographs that are more than snapshots. Living in a fantastically beautiful portion of Colorado I am now beginning to make images both of nature and of a more abstract sort. Most of the images I will display here are those that are already on my own walls and I hope others will enjoy them as much as I have.
Broom, Michael - I'm pretty new to photography and underwater photography, but I seem to have a pretty good eye for composition and occasionally get lucky since fish tend not to be models of stillness. I use a Canon 20D digital SLR in an Ikelite housing with a Sea & Sea YS90-DX strobe. I earn my living as an organizational psychologist. I consult to organization leaders and run educational programs in personal and organizational change management. Check out my web site at www.chumans.com. I live in Columbia, Maryland which half way between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. for those who don't know the area. I hope you enjoy my photos!
Belikov, Sergey - Belikov Vasilij Matveevich (1921-1994) Born in Svishchevka, Tambov Province, Russia in 1921. Studied at the Astrakhan Art School between 1938 and 1941. Upon finishing art school he worked for the Penza branch of the Art Fund of Russia during which time he became their director. At the age of 40 he fell ill with tuberculosis, struggled against the illness for several years and eventually overcame it. Since then he devoted himself to his art. He regulary attended summer residence for creative art "Akademicheskaya" where he became acquainted with many of the leading artists of the country. In 1975 he was accepted into the USSR Union of Artists. His main creative expression was through landscape painting and to a lesser degree, still life and portraits.
Barrett, Brian - Brian is form Adelaide, Australia, and was born in 1979. He uses a 30 year old SLR, but has only published his digital images form a Canon Powershot G3. Brian's principal photographic interests are currently in glaciology, from where he draws much inspiration. However his photographic beginings were in Astrophotography. He hopes to eventually have the equipment to experiment digitally with astrophotography.
Bass, Gary - I've been an avid outdoorsman who enjoys everything to do with God's beautiful creation. My passion for capturing the beauty of God's creation on film started over 17 years ago with my first cameras being a Canon EOS 630 & EOS A2E with macro and telephoto lenses and shooting on a tripod and using Kodachrome and fujichrome films most of the time. I however recently have switched over to digital and working on learning the many avenues of digital photography. My files consist of stock images from people ,to animals wild/domestic to land/waterscapes,closeups of various subjects and objects and misc others. My passion for photography is still strong and rewarding and my desire is to continue showing the beauty of God's creation to others.
