Plant Pictures,

There
is perhaps nothing more classic than a photograph of a flower
gently unfolding its dew-encrusted petals in the morning sun; a
great number of highly talented photographers have applied their
craft to this seemingly mundane subject and created works of
great beauty and true artistry. At Digital Picture Printing &
Frames, we have a number of images in our Plant Picture section
that focus on the delicate natural beauty of flowers.
It seems almost impossible that such great beauty can be found in something as simple as a plant picture, especially one of a flower, and it becomes all the more absurd when one realizes that flowers are beautiful by necessity, something that few people think about or appreciate on a daily basis. When gazing upon one of our plant pictures, it not likely that the viewer will realize that hidden within the picture is a story of survival; each of our plant pictures captures the essence of a flower that has perfected a method that attracts bees and other pollen-carrying creatures and causes them to spread pollen from flower to flower, and thus the species is propagated. Each flower in our plant pictures exists because of the repeating concentric circles of its petals, each one infused with the colors that so elegantly (and literally) gave it life and purpose.
Flowers
are not the only plant pictures in our collection, however. Our
collection ranges from the intimate beauty of flowers to the majestic, soaring heights
of great sequoia trees and panoramic shots of forests full of
aspen trees that seem to stretch off into the distance. In
fact, nature’s creations of all shapes and sizes can be found in
our plant picture section.
One of our featured
photographers, Bob Lilly, has captured a number of breathtaking plant
pictures, whether it is the quaint beauty of condensation frozen
on cacti in his “Texas
Christmas”
or his photograph named “Blue
Bonnets and Old Hayrake,” which seems to capture the ghosts
of a forgotten time. It depicts a rusty piece of farm equipment
which has fallen into disrepair, which might seem a depressing
subject, but the picture is infused with beauty because the old
hayrake is surrounded on all sides by blue bonnet flowers –
characteristic of Texas - that seem to signify the birth and
re-growth found in nature.
If you are searching for
just the right picture to give your room or office a certain
stately beauty, look no further than our collection of plant
pictures. When hung on your wall, any one of our plant pictures
will be a constant reminder of the grace and beauty found in
nature. We hope, however, that when you look upon one of our
plant pictures as it hangs upon your wall, you will keep in mind
that every picture, simple though it may seem, is a moment
frozen in time that captures one part of a story, whether it is
the story of how flowers use their beauty to survive or an
exclamation at the majesty of the great sequoia tree as it seems
to scrape the sky.
Jeff James, 2004.
