To Upload your own Picture

Picture uploads to DPPF can transform those electronic etchings on your hard-drive into tangible works of beauty! The process begins by uploading your image at our visitor uploads page which is both convenient and easy. Then your picture upload will be
printed by DPPF to virtually any size you specify, from 4 inches by 5 inches to 43 inches by 180 inches. For the larger prints, the source file of
your picture upload must conform to the minimum size, resolution, and format requirements as stated in our uploading tips. These prints of
your picture uploads are made by an Epson 9600 printer on the highest-quality papers. This printer is considered to be the "gold standard" for
razor-sharp images with dazzling color.
Your picture upload may then be dry-mounted and framed using again the finest mouldings, mats, and glazing materials. Using our
virtual frame shop, frames of wood or metal, thick or thin, ornate or simple are available. Framing may be done with zero, one, two, or even three
mats. The width of the matting offset is able to be customized. The virtual frame shop even allows you to zoom-in on the finished product and
show it on a wall color chosen from our color palette. Work on your picture upload is done in our own 5,000 square foot facility located Northeast
of Georgetown, Texas. DPPF maintains an account with Larson-Juhl, one of the world's best makers of frames. Mats for your picture upload are
supplied by Larson-Juhl as well as Crescent.
To protect your image, your picture upload may be encased under an unbreakable acrylic pane. However, we recommend the picture
upload be laminated with an ultra-lightweight polymer sheet. Textures are available in either canvas or linen.
At your option, this sheeting, which is heat-mounted onto the print of your picture upload, can cover the print only, or both the print
and the matting. Either way, the picture upload is UV-protected as well as protected from moisture and dust. Simply wipe the surface of your
picture upload with a damp cloth. The finished product not only weighs much less, but also appears as if there is nothing between your eye and
the actual image. The awful reflection of the rest of the room that blocks visibility when using glass or acrylic is eliminated!
The finished product is also produced to last. DPPF uses non-acidic papers, mounts and mats to extend the life of your framed picture
upload. Some cheaper materials eventually cause brown stains on the artwork that may ultimately destroy your treasure.
Your picture uploads may also include a collection of some event or honor that you would like preserved and displayed. DPPF
recently produced a 24 inch by 36 inch collage for a customer, using a magazine article and its associated images. Our Wizard computerized
mat cutter can make complex multiple-opening works of art. They too can be laminated and preserved without sacrificing visibility or light weight.
Best of all, you can accomplish this transformation with a few clicks of the mouse while sitting at your computer. We do all the
work, and in only a few short days you have your family, pet, loved-one, or team gracing your wall.
