To upload your own image

An image upload is the hottest new way to transform those digital files now languishing on your hard drive into tangible, robust framed pictures hanging on your wall. Using high quality materials, Digital Picture Printing & Frames
can add matting and framing to the prints of your image uploads for sizes up to enormous! If your image file has low resolution, we can print and frame modestly. However, if you can supply us with an image upload of high-resolution, we can frame and print up to 43 inches by 180 inches. We can supply strictly prints of up to 43 inches by 1,198 inches!
The latest digital cameras that produce 10 megapixels and more can create rich, razor-sharp prints that beg for large-format printing such as is offered by DPPF. Whether the camera is a high-end professional grade SLR camera used in studio photography or simply a recreational point & shoot camera we have the facilities to print, mat and frame the digital images created from any digital camera on the market today. The software on our website is designed to accept the usual JPEG formatted picture, as well as
a variety of other file formats including PSD and TIF. Theoretically, one can perform an image upload of a gigabyte (that's 1,000 megabyates) or more. Practically speaking, the time to do so and the probability of a service interruption during that time may tend to impose a limit somewhere. However, there now exist DVD-R disks capable of holding many gigabytes. The customer may mail us the DVD, or may call us to arrange the use of our FTP server. We can then print and custom frame your image upload to nearly any size. (These printable dimensions will also be dependent on the images’ aspect ratio.)
Of course, for more normal-sized image uploads, simply use our visitor uploads page.
Scanners can be used to
copy anything from negatives to drawings/paintings or even newspaper clippings. They are also useful for archiving
family photographs. Once the image has been saved onto your personal computer you can perfom an image upload to our site.
Some important differences to note when purchasing a scanner are the resolution and the dynamic range. The dynamic range is
measured on a scale from zero to four, four being the best. The dynamic range allows the scanner to differentiate between
two different colors. For example a black and white photograph appears more detailed when the scanner can read the more subtle differences in grayscale. The resolution determines the sharpness of the
image that is captured from the scanner. Resolution is measured in pixels per inch and is generally accepted as the number
of pixels tall by the number of pixels wide. Almost all scanners have an interpolated resolution in addition to their standard
resolution. The interpolated resolution is calculated by the amount of digital enhancement an image can undergo before it
appears distorted.
While scanners and digital cameras are the most popular sources for collecting digital images,
Email can be another source for collecting digital images. If your image meets the Uploading
Tips guidelines for image uploading pictures then, E-mail can provide yet another resource to retrieve and collect pictures
for the image uploading process.
Whether your digital image comes from a digital camera, a scanner, or even an
email from a friend, you can image upload them to us. You can preview what your image will
look like with picture framing and matting before you buy it. All of our images and picture frames are delivered to your doorstep ready to hang
on the wall. Digital Picture Printing & Frames can provide you with a custom sized, matted, and framed print from your image uploaded pictures.
